Contract awarded for 9/11 memorial
New York’s Port Authority and the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation have awarded the first big contract for the construction of the 9/11 Memorial.
New York’s Port Authority and the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation have awarded the first big contract for the construction of the 9/11 Memorial. Holmdel, N.J.-based E.E. Cruz & Company is scheduled to begin work this month on constructing 118 of 142 footings for the memorial, according to The New York Times. Work crews with the company also assisted in the Lower Manhattan cleanup following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
