Emergency-management officials, community managers, first responders and other agencies can use the awareness capabilities offered in the PR2C Toolkit to plan for problems that occur in natural and manmade disasters by training together with a single application. The Web-based toolkit, which operates in real time, offers an interactive, three-dimensional visualization of the area as well as a secure wireless infrastructure system (the components of which include mobile satellite terminal sets, IP telephones and surveillance cameras) that can be set up quickly and powered by a generator when standard telecommunications infrastructure is disabled.
