Webinar: Organize government IT for the cloud
Many state and local agencies are adopting cloud computing to solve fundamental government IT challenges, and those cloud configurations can take many forms. A webinar on Oct. 16, 2012, will explore cloud computing options for state and local governments as part of the 2012 State & Local Government Summit.
Experts from Microsoft will present a session titled, “Transforming your IT operations in the cloud to meet the needs of today’s state and local governments.” During the 45-minute webinar, they will explain uses for public and private clouds and how to organize government IT operations to take advantage of both. They also will describe tools available for government IT agencies to manage cloud computing, including Windows Server 2012, Systems Center, Hybrid and Intune.
The webinar, which will be held from 12 to 12:45 p.m. EST on Oct. 16, is part of the State & Local Government Summit, a one-day online conference that includes five education sessions and a virtual exhibit hall.
