Coming events should appeal to government marketers and procurement pros
The National Association of State Procurement Officials holds its How to Market to State Governments Meeting on March 16-18 in San Diego. This interactive meeting provides a forum for suppliers to connect with state procurement officials in a productive atmosphere.
At one of the sessions, two long-time NASPO members discuss the most common procurement methods utilized, bid evaluations and awards. They will also offer tips for winning state contracts. The speakers are Tom Blaine, NASPO Life Member and Monica Wilkes, NASPO Honorary Member.
Doug Lipp, former Disney executive, will offer a presentation, “Even Monkeys Fall From Trees.” The session will help attendees learn from mistakes and embrace change.
Shari Harley, leadership trainer, will speak on bringing candor back to the workplace in her presentation, “How to Say Anything to Anyone.”
One-on-One sessions will be staged during the conference. These are prescheduled, fifteen-minute appointments with state procurement representatives. Vendors can use this opportunity to speak directly with state procurement officials of their choice.
