Gallery: A blizzard of snow removal products just in time for winter
The Weather Channel says that winter is on its way. For December, the Weather Channel is predicting slightly cooler than average for Colorado, New Mexico, the Plains states from Nebraska to Texas, and the lower Mississippi River Valley.
The Salt Institute says snow-clogged roads put a damper on the economy. Snowstorms cost states as much as $700 million per day in both direct and indirect costs if roads are impassable, reports the institute in a datasheet.
