According to a new national survey, credit scores, homeownership rates and, of course, income all factor in to which cities have the best and least "healthy" wallets in the U.S.
Just in time for the shopping holiday season, Wallet Hub has released its "2015's Best & Worst Cities for Wallet Wellness," which correlates physical, emotional and financial well-being as wallet wellness. Researchers for the financial website examined data for 150 of the largest cities in the country, comparing 12 key metrics to get a sense of consumer habits and financial health of city dwellers. Though obvious financial factors like credit scores and household income were considered, other factors like length of driving commute and emotional and physical well-being determined the best and worst cities for wallet wellness.
