Dump spreader performs tasks year-round (with related video)

Buyers Products has introduced the SaltDogg Municipal Dump Spreader (MDS). It provides the practicality of a dump body combined with the convenience of a spreader. The unit’s design enables four-season operation.

The MDS (photo below on left) is offered in 10-, 12- and 14-foot lengths with 36-inch sides and a 4-inch tailgate. The body is constructed from heavy-gauge, 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability. The product’s roll-formed sides and cross-memberless design ensure good material flow and strength-to-weight ratio.

The unit features a three-stage, nitride, double-acting, front trunnion-mounted hoist. The MDS limits protrusion into the body cavity and allows for high material capacity. The company’s proprietary spinner assembly ensures efficient material distribution.  

A removable, 7-gauge stainless steel conveyor cover plate and an adjustable flow gate enables four-season use of the MDS. The conveyor and flow gate can be interchanged with a coal chute. The spinner assembly is also easily removed allowing year-round use of the spreader body. The unit can be customized for a variety of applications.
