Free report: What you need to know about the top 4 equipment models
EquipmentWatch found the top four models for April 2016 and analyzed their month-over-month price, age, and volume trends. These are the top models and their equipment subtype:
Top Models Equipment Subtype
Bobcat S650 Skid Steer Loaders
Freightliner CASCADIA CA125 Conventional – Day Cab (Heavy Tractor)
JLG 450AJ I.C. Self-Propelled Articulating Boom Aerial Lifts
Deere 8285R Wheel Tractors
“Prices were down for the Deere 8285R and the JLG 450AJ from last April, but up for the Bobcat S650 and the Freightliner CASCADIA CA125,” says EquipmentWatch Industry Analyst Stephanie Wilson in her monthly report.
The report also notes that the Bobcat S650 had an increase of 6.20 percent in volume between March 2016 and April 2016, while the other Top Models decreased in volume for that time period. Prices were down for the Deere 8285R at 7.43 percent below April 2015 prices and the JLG 450AJ at 8.93 percent below. The other two Top Models showed an increase in price.
All of the Top Models in the April report could be used in government fleets. However, the construction and lift models (Bobcat S650 and JLG 450AJ) would be more likely to be used in government and government contractor tasks than the truck and ag models (CASCADIA CA125 and Deere 8285R) that are in the April Top Models report.
The Top Models report can help equipment managers, renters and sellers in their decision-making. Knowing which models are most popular for the month and what their price and volume trends look like will assist in decisions regarding pricing and finance. It will provide a snapshot of equipment performance month over month.
