Cooperative purchasing group adds additional members
National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP) has welcomed four new strategic supplier partners to the association. The firms are: Genuine Parts Company, GovConnection, Interface America and Steelcase.
Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is a service organization engaged in the distribution of Automotive Replacement Parts, Industrial Replacement Parts, Office Products and Electrical/Electronic Materials. The firm has with a distribution network of over 2,650 operations located throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, China and other emerging markets across the globe.
GovConnection provides technology product and IT solutions for state, municipal, higher education and K-12 schools. The firm says its strength is connecting government and educational institutions with the tools to deliver the services for the public’s needs.
Interface America is a manufacturer of modular carpet. The company says it strives to develop environmentally efficient products and processes.
Steelcase produces office furniture, architectural and technology products for office environments and educational, health care and retail industries. The firm says it is the largest office furniture manufacturer in the world with facilities, offices, and factories in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa.
According to Marc Selvitelli, Executive Director of NCPP, the number of strategic suppliers in NCPP’s membership is rapidly growing. He said the new suppliers would provide education initiatives to support public procurement.
According to its website, NCPP is the voice of the public procurement process, in regards to cooperative purchasing and other related public contracting. The group’s web site says it supports positive change and opposes excessively burdensome regulations that could negatively impact procurement operations. NCPP advocates for legislation that supports and advances best practices in public procurement.
