New contract for energy savings performance contracting

U.S. Communities has announced that its new contract for Energy Savings Performance Contracting Services has been awarded to McKinstry and Trane. This contract was awarded through a competitive solicitation process conducted by lead agency, Port of Portland, Oregon. The contract term is for six years with a start date of December 1, 2017, with the option to extend the contract for one additional period of five years. 

“We’re very excited to be able to be able to offer our services to the more than 55,000 U.S. Communities participating agencies,” said Ash Awad, chief market officer for McKinstry, according to The Registry. “Addressing our aging infrastructure is important as we think about buildings to that will serve our future needs. The U.S Communities program gives public agencies more options for procuring the services necessary to improve and protect our public assets.”
