Cybersecurity attacks on government information and data systems are constantly changing and expanding. Today cybersecurity is everyone’s business in state and local government.  Procurement and contracting can play an important role to reduce cybersecurity vulnerabilities and mitigate risks, not just in IT contracts, but for all procurement.

In this virtual session a panel of experts convened by the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) will examine the cyber security threat landscape to government and its implications for all procurement, contracting and the supply including:

• Discussion of the current threat and vulnerability landscape facing governments that relate to procurement and the supply chain.
• Explore practical steps to mitigate and manage cyber security risks through the RFP and contracting process.
• Tips on engaging with the IT team and client agencies to identify and protest sensitive information and government networks through the contracting process.
