Deltek releases 12th annual Clarity Government Contracting Report

Herndon, Va.-based Deltek has released its 12^th annual Clarity Government Contracting Industry Study, which is designed to identify current contracting trends and market outlooks, including specific analysis on top challenges impacting business development, human capital management, project management, procurement, contract management, finance and financial compliance.

Deltek analyzes survey responses from hundreds of government contracting leaders on their previous year’s performance, uncovering insights on the entire government contracting market.

Key themes that came from the survey include 71 percent of respondents are forecasting growth in government sales, with data security top of mind, the report shows that investment in cybersecurity and compliance are on the horizon for 2021 and continued cloud migration will result in cost savings and greater efficiency. The pandemic also forced companies to operate in new ways, creating challenges for sourcing teaming partners and doing more with less resources. This is expected to lead to increased investment in better business development tools and systems.
