Millions of Americans have lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic, but now, it’s employers that are struggling to find workers, leading to reduced business hours, delays in services. The pandemic has caused people to reflect on what they want to do, and what they don’t want to do anymore. Americans are quitting their jobs at record rates in what is being called the “Great Resignation.” They’re moving on to different career paths, finding better positions elsewhere, starting their own businesses or leaving the job force all together.
Where are employers struggling the most to hire people? WalletHub recently compared all 50 states plus the District of Columbia based on the rate of job openings for both the latest month and the last 12 months.
