10 states where employers are struggling the least to hire
Millions of Americans have lost their jobs during the COVID-29 pandemic, but now, it’s employers that are struggling to find workers, leading to reduced busines hours, delays in services. The pandemic caused people to reflect on what they wanted to do, and what they didn’t want to do anymore. Americans are quitting their jobs at record rates in what is being called the “Great Resignation.” They’re moving on to different career paths, finding better positions elsewhere, starting their own businesses or leaving the job force all together.
While employers in all 50 states are facing hiring issues, some are finding it a bit easier to fill positions than others. WalletHub recently compared all 50 states plus the District of Columbia based on the rate of job openings for both the latest month and the last 12 months. Using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, they compared the states and Washington, D.C., with weighted metrics to rank them from struggling to hire the most to the least.
