The COVID pandemic turned even the most extroverted among us into homebodies—curled up on the sofa in comfy pants, binge-watching Netflix and ordering takeout. We worked from home (some of us still are), ate at home, everything revolved around staying home. Now that the world is opening back up, some people are still enjoying the sanctuary of home. There is internet. Pretty much everything you want can be delivered right to your door. Did we mention the comfy pants?
When it comes to enjoying staying in instead of going out, where are the best places to live for this new generation of homebodies? Joybird recently ranked the 50 most populous cities in the United States based on 11 different ranking factors, including safety, internet speed, remote work job openings, access to food delivery to determine the best places to live when you want to live, work and play at home. Each factor was graded on a five-point scale, with five being the most favorable score. The factors also were weighted based on how strongly Joybird thought is affected homebodies. Final scores from 0-50 were calculated for each of the 50 cites. Based on the calculations, we have the 10 best cities for homebodies in the gallery above.
