Kenworth offers its T270 Class 6 and T370 Class 7 truck models as diesel-electric hybrids. Powertrain controls automatically select the ideal power mode (electric-only, diesel-only or combined electric and diesel) depending on current driving conditions. The 340-volt lithium-ion battery pack stores electricity generated through braking to assist the engine with acceleration.
