The PureContact monitor (Version 5.1) tracks the flight of golf balls with an integrated Doppler radar transceiver. The American-made monitor records shots ranging from 20 to 420 yards in carry distance; the device displays distance readings in yards or meters (yards is the default). Applications include golf instruction, driving ranges, tournament activities (such as long-drive or guess-your-ball-speed competitions), club sales and event rentals. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, the device is powered by a 9-volt battery (not included). The monitor weighs 11 ounces and fits easily into golf bags. No setup is required; users power on and start hitting.
