Kenai, Alaska, is looking for a drink of arsenic-free water. The city council recently approved the drilling of a test well at the site of an old landfill, an area never before tested, and a $35,850 comprehensive arsenic ground water study, according to the Kenai Peninsula Clarion. The city’s previous test wells have not provided a source of water with acceptable levels of arsenic, and the study is aimed at discovering the location of the arsenic deposits.
