Forget the roses and chocolate, here’s the perfect Valentine’s Day gift — a tour of a sewage plant. Back by popular demand, for the second year in a row officials in New York City are offering a romantic tour of a sewage plant for lovers of urban infrastructure, according to The Associated Press.
The tour, complete with commentary, comes courtesy of the city’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Guests are guided through the 53-acre Newtown Creek Wastewater treatment plant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
