Port Authority Debuts Marketing Effort
Port Authority Debuts Marketing Effort
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, operating many of the busiest and most vital transportation links in the world, has begun a multiyear, municipal marketing and sponsorship program for the Port Authority’s transportation and trade services and facilities.
To execute the program, a joint venture between Active Public Enterprise Group and aXcess Partners Worldwide has created ImPAct Live Media.
The goal is to generate new revenue sources for the Port Authority while engaging worldwide brands to enhance the travel experience for millions of consumers who access the port authority’s facilities each year.
ImPAct Live Media will leverage technology, programming, and consumer interaction to promote such Port Authority assets as John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia, and Teterboro airports; the George Washington Bridge; the Lincoln and Holland tunnels; the three bridges between Staten Island and New Jersey; the PATH rapid transit rail system; and the Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan.
The goal behind the effort is to build value for the Port Authority’s assets and create new revenue sources to supplement tolls and fares.
Campaign elements will include audio, digital media and moving visuals, experiential branding, direct marketing, electronic kiosks, innovative signage, branded entertainment, sampling and product demonstrations, and wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi and WiMax) Internet networks.
