District of Columbia officials are considering banning New York-based Dunn Engineering Associates because of the firm’s involvement in a bribery case. The firm paid $75,000 in criminal fees as part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors that came after an investigation into whether the firm paid a $1,348 hotel bill for a former D.C. city official who then kept his travel advance from the city, according to the Washington Times. The chairman of the District’s Debarment and Suspension Panel contends in a letter that Dunn Engineering lacks “business integrity.” http://www.washtimes.com/metro/20060514-110837-2101r.htm
