The Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) has been named winner of the 1997 Excellence in Aquatics award for cities with populations over 250,000. The award, given annually by the National Recreation and Park Association’s National Aquatic Section, honors communities that demonstrate excellence in planning and managing diversified aquatic services. CRC was cited for its programs for individuals with disabilities, its handling of a 1993 lifeguard shortage, its training programs and its partnerships with communities and organizations.
