Fleet techs: Here is your chance to earn recognition (with related video)

The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) is accepting nominations through Thursday, Sept. 15, for its 2017 AEMP Foundation Technician of the Year award. Now is the time to submit your nomination for the best heavy equipment technicians of 2017. Both public- and private-sector technicians can win the award.

The award is presented annually to the individual who exemplifies the heavy equipment profession’s best technician. Nominations are open to all technicians who have a minimum of five years of experience. Employers need not be a member of AEMP.

The goal of the awards is to celebrate the best technicians in the industry. The award recognizes professionals who keep the machinery running when the clock is ticking – and it’s always ticking – who always repair your agency’s equipment, in rain, wind, in freezing cold and oppressive summer heat.

The first step, due by Sept. 15th, is filling out a short, 300 word nomination form. Go here to view and fill out the form.
