Firm that delivers data and analytics wins national cooperative contract
The U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance has awarded a multi-year contract to Experian to provide consumer data and predictive analytics solutions through its national cooperative purchasing program. Fairfax County, Va., the lead public agency on the contract, made the award to Experian after a competitive solicitation and evaluation.
The exclusive contract gives more than 90,000 public sector entities access to Experian’s consumer data and analytical information solutions. The firm has expertise and hands-on experience with child support enforcement; collections; contractor responsibility; data cleansing; data breach services; program eligibility verification; consumer online authentication/identity management and preventing tax return fraud. The firm has delivered operational solutions in government, education and not for profit organizations.
Entities that can use the contract include state agencies, local governments, publicly owned utilities, collection agencies that service public debt and nonprofit public schools and higher education institutions. The Contract Number is 4400006681. The contract has a three-year initial term, running from August 29th, 2016 through August 28th, 2019.
Through the contract, public sector organizations can protect consumers and improve their operations, says Sandra Anderson, Experian senior vice president of strategy. She says the contract will enable public sector agencies to create additional value within their communities and economy.
In an email interview, Anderson tells GPN that a variety of government agencies will use the Experian contract’s data analytics and other services. She says the most likely public entities to use the contract include states, counties, cities, public universities and municipal utility companies.
