The Public Procurement Guide for Elected and Senior Government Officials
For those unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the industry, public procurement can be a complicated topic to broach. To clear the confusion, NIGP – The Institute for Public Procurement has released its Public Procurement Guide for Senior and Elected Government Officials.
The purpose of this guide is to help government workers unfamiliar with public procurement understand how procurement processes can help them achieve their goals or get their entity into trouble, and which aspects of procurement deserve management attention. It is written from the perspective of a seasoned public executive mentoring other executives new to the public sector on what is worth knowing about public procurement.
