Residents of Charleston County, S.C., will have to pay their tax bills in person for a little longer while the county works out some bugs in its new computer system. The new system, unveiled two months ago, is supposed to allow more information sharing between the public and the county’s tax departments, according to The Post and Courier. The changeover to the new system forced the county to discontinue its Web-based tax payment service for several days in April and May, but officials say the kinks in the new system should be worked out soon.
