Software solutions and data analytics forming synergy in AMI deployment
Software and services are empowering the traditional electricity, gas and water meter hardware, and unlocking greater value than ever from the meter data, which will definitely disrupt the future of the utilities and the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) industry. “A new era of software-defined solutions is coming,” said Stephanie Wu, senior analyst of Omdia Smart Buildings and Energy Infrastructure. “And it has debuted with AMI applications in more developed markets, such as Europe and North America.”
