Some flights in the private plane of a large contractor led to an ethics investigation of New Jersey Turnpike Authority Chairman Joseph Simunovich. In a confidential letter, the director of the State Ethics Committee said a preliminary investigation showed there were “indications” of ethics violations by Simunovich, but he has not been charged, according to The Trenton Times. Simunovich has made no comment on the investigation, and a deputy attorney general has been assigned to investigate it.
